Michael Thomas Murray, 69, of East Brunswick, NJ, passed away of natural causes on Saturday September 2nd, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. \n\nMike was born on September 17th, 1953 to John & Rosemarie Murray in New York, New York. He graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School (Woodbridge, NJ) in 1971.\n\nIn 1974, through a twist of fate, Mike met Karla Lokeman at their mutual friend’s wedding. The two fell in love and were married on September 2nd, 1978. They shared 45 incredible years, two daughters, and countless laughs together. In addition to being partners in life, they were also riding partners, both enjoying the freedom that only being on a motorcycle can bring. Their passion for bikes, particularly Harleys, was passed down and is shared by their daughters.\n\nMike always worked diligently to support his family. He spent many years in security technology, rising to the level of Senior Project Manager. He proudly oversaw the overhaul of the systems at three major airports (Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK) post 9/11, as well as managed many other large contracts during his time in the industry.\n\nMike was predeceased by his youngest brother, John, as well as both of his parents. He is survived by his wife, Karla, his daughters, Amanda & Cassandra, his grandson, Lincoln, as well as his three brothers, Richard, Donald, and Daniel.\n\nAs per his wishes, there will be no formal services. The family may plan a celebration of life in the future, and will distribute that information once decided, at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
