Edward Lawrence Forsberg Obituary (1945 - 2023)

Edward passed away with peace and dignity on August 31, 2023. He was born December 26, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ to Eric and Evelyn (Hallam) Forsberg. He is predeceased by both parents, sisters Elizabeth and Erilynne, daughter Staci, and wife Rosemary. Edward was a Corporal in the United States Marines from 1963-1967, a Sergeant in the Air Force from 1972-1973. He loved his country and was proud to serve in the Vietnam War. After leaving the Air Force, he embarked on a career in Sales, which took him to Direct Marketing. After thirty plus years of Sales, he retired to enjoy life with his family. One of his favorite past times was boating and spending time by the water. He loved animals, especially his dog Jasmine. He had a great sense of humor too. His faith in God was great, and loved quoting scripture. Edward leaves behind his brother, Eric (Carol), daughter Gayle (Bob), granddaughter Renee (Ryan) and great-grandson Daniel, along with nieces and a nephew. A service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the Rye Presbyterian Church in Rye, NY, at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to local animal shelters.
