Carmen Ivette Soto, 57, most commonly known by her middle name Ivette of South River, NJ passed early Wednesday morning, January 17th 2024. Carmen Ivette Soto, most commonly known by her middle name Ivette, born on March 23, 1966, in Salinas, Puerto Rico, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2024, in Old Bridge, New Jersey due to a sudden decline in her health. She was only 57 years old. Carmen will be lovingly remembered by her son, Osvaldo, and daughter, Alyssa, her granddaughter, Kailyn, her mother, Carmen, and her siblings, Lisandro, Elizabeth, Richie, Frankie, and Alma. As well as her numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa, her brother, Jimmy, and her father, Neftali. Carmen was a dedicated and protective individual who always had a kind heart. She was known for her nurturing nature and her unwavering love for her family. Always a pillar of support to those who needed it most In her professional life, Carmen worked as a County Adjuster for Middlesex County. She was known for her meticulous attention to detail. Carmen was also a proud member of the South River Democratic Organization, happy to help in every election. Outside of work, Carmen found solace in her hobbies. She had a passion for sewing, drawing, and baking, bread and pies especially. A crazy plant lady she enjoyed caring for her numerous houseplants, often described as a mini jungle. Most of all she was a notable bookworm, she read thousands of novels, willing to read almost any and every genera. Her creative spirit shone through, and she often shared her talents with those around her. A private burial service will take place at St. Peters Cemetery in New Brunswick, NJ. Carmen's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
